St George’s Drive

Working with property developer MOB Developments we transformed a grotty bedsit and former squat into a beautiful one bedroom garden flat.

After purchasing the flat at auction the first challenge was overcoming the need to change the layout, which included making structural changes that were forbade under the terms of the lease.

We proved to the freeholder that the changes proposed were either necessary or not structural, meaning we were able to change openings, take out the chimney stack and remove a wall. We then set about creating a flat with a feeling space and light despite the footprint being compact (okay small).

Swapping the kitchen and bathroom enabled the creation of an ensuite bedroom with generous storage leading to the eating / sitting room next to the new kitchen. We kept the style classic with little contemporary touches and blasts of colour.
